What is the first step in preparing my pet for travel?

Whether a domestic or international relocation, you need to choose the right gear for your pet. We only ship IATA-compliant pet crates that are sized properly for your pet. If it’s international, you will need to follow and complete specific permits and health certificates. We provide crates and health documents for you, or you can complete this on your own.

What size crate do I need for my pet?

Each crate varies based on the pet’s size and breed. You can check out Measuring My Pet’s Kennel for instructions or one of our Specialists would be happy to help. Additionally, you can visit IATA Traveler’s Pet Corner

How can I ensure the safety of my pet(s) relocation?

In order to sustain the safe and efficient transport of live animals via air cargo, we comply with all the new regulations held within IATA LAR Regulation

Should my pet travel by air or by ground?

This is only based on your preference, airline restrictions, and how far you are traveling. Most of the time, air travel is preferred for travel time but not always available. However, ground transportation will allow your pet to have a private and personalized service.

Is the cargo hold conditioned like a passenger airplane?

The cargo area of the aircraft is temperature-controlled and pressurized just like the cabin of the aircraft you would travel in, and most of the time, the sound of the engines will put your pet to sleep while in the air. Just like we (humans) do.

Will my pet be sedated when flying?

No. Pets should not be sedated prior to traveling in the cargo hold. If your pet is nervous or hyper, we would suggest you contact your Veterinarian to guide you through getting an all-natural pet calmer.

What are the preparations involved prior traveling?

There are different requirements for each country, however, most of them will require that your pet have shots/tests well in advance of entering. Our experts will be discussing this with you at the beginning of the process to ensure that all requirements are met. Here you can select destination country from the drop-down menu and see all steps and restrictions from the USDA. USDA APHIS | APHIS Pet Travel

Do you ship other types of animals?

Even though all types of animals are shipped internationally every day, we suggest you contact us to determine if we can provide the service needed and also verify if there are any special shipping requirements.
